Some Celtic fans have taken to social media to react to the news that Leigh Griffiths has been granted a new four-year deal, taking him up until 2022.
The striker joined the club in 2014 from Wolverhampton Wanderers, following a loan move to Hibernian.

He has made 190 appearances for the club since his arrival, scoring 100 goals in what is a very respectable record.
His 100th strike came recently during the Hoops’ 3-0 win over FK Suduva in the Europa League qualifier.
‘I can’t wait for the future’
Griffiths spoke to Celtic’s official website after signing his new deal. He said: “I’m over the moon. It’s been a long time coming, talks have been ongoing for a while and I’m glad to get it over the line.
“The main aim is to be here for as long as I can, and for Celtic to have shown that faith in me to sign me for another four years makes me ecstatic.

“From the moment I walked in the door here, this is where I wanted to be for the rest of my life. I’ve been here for three-and-a-half years already and to sign another four-year deal is great. I can’t wait for the future.”
Added pressure following Dembele sale?
Griffiths has put pen to paper on improved terms, but he may find himself under a bit more pressure as a result.
The deadline sale of Moussa Dembele to Lyon means that he and Odsonne Edouard are the only two main strikers going forwards.
With Celtic competing on four fronts again this term, there’s pressure for him to repay the club’s show of faith.

There’s also pressure for Griffiths to stay fit; he has suffered a number of injuries during his time at the club.
He is a popular figure at Parkhead and of course the fans will back him to step into Dembele’s shoes. He’ll certainly be hoping to build on the nine league goals he scored last season.
Celtic fans react
Some Celtic supporters took to Twitter to react to the news of Griffiths’ new deal, and the majority are pretty pleased with the club’s business, especially with Griffiths having entered the final year of his old deal:
