Celtic fans react as Turnbull is nominated for SFWA Young Player of the Year

Celtic fans have taken to social media to praise David Turnbull following his nomination for the Young Player of the Year award from the Scottish Football Writers Association.

The SFWA announced on their official website the four nominees for this year’s award, with Turnbull facing competition from breakout Hibernian defender Josh Doig, Aberdeen star Lewis Ferguson, and Rangers teenager Nathan Patterson. The Celtic midfielder has already won the award in his career, with the 21-year-old claiming the prestigious accolade in 2019 during his years at Motherwell.

Here’s what some Celtic fans had to say about Turnbull’s nomination on Twitter…

Turnbull will be hoping his form this season lands him a place in the Scotland squad for this summer’s EUROs.
