Tottenham Hotspur star Victor Wanyama has posted on Twitter as Spurs continue their preparation for Saturday’s clash against Watford – and Celtic fans have responded to their former midfielder’s Tweet.
Spurs will be looking to get their season back on track and pick up just a fourth Premier League win from nine games with a win over a struggling Watford. However, the disarray continues to grow at Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino.
Wanyama, 28, has been unable to make an impact in changing Spurs’ fortunes. He has been afforded just 23 minutes of Premier League football this season, while playing the entire 90 minutes of the awful defeat to Colchester United.
Nevertheless, the Kenya captain posted on Twitter ahead of Saturday’s game which could see him included in the 18-man squad, but it is unlikely to see the former Southampton man start. He captioned a picture with: “Focused and determined”.

The Evening Times have claimed that Celtic are on red alert in a bid to re-sign the midfielder, six years after he left the Scottish champions to join Southampton. He clocked up 91 appearances for Celtic during his time in Scotland, scoring 13 goals.
Celtic fans have responded to Wanyama’s Tweet, with the majority urging him to come back up the road to help the Scottish champions reach 10-in-a-row. It remains to be seen if Wanyama would be tempted, with Celtic unlikely to be able to afford his £65,000-a-week wages (Spotrac).
