Timothy Weah has told the Daily Record that it is a “possibility” that he could move to Celtic on a permanent basis beyond his loan from Paris Saint-Germain – and Hoops fans have urged the teenager to sign on.

Weah, 19, scored his fourth goal for the Bhoys last time out as he was handed just his third start in green and white by Neil Lennon. He headed home a loose ball from six yards out in a 2-0 away win over St. Mirren.

An eight-time United States international, Weah has clocked up 13 appearances for the Hoops since joining the club on loan from PSG. At the French club, the son of Ballon d’Or winner George Weah, has only played six times.

Weah was asked if he can see himself signing a permanent deal at Celtic, with no clue as to how much the youngster would cost the Scottish Champions. He responded by saying it was a possibility.

“I feel like it’s a possibility. It’s something me and my family have to go over at the end of the season,” Weah said, when asked about a permanent deal. “I am loving it here so far so we just have to see what happens.”

Weah could become an unbelievable signing give. Already more than good enough for the first team, Weah is just 19 years of age. He would be a boost in attack, but also provide Celtic with massive re-sale value.

Celtic fans reacted on Twitter to Weah’s comments, with many urging him to complete a permanent deal to Parkhead.
