Celtic’s search for a new manager continues to take new twists and turns and now, Thierry Henry has claimed that he would be open to discussing a move to Parkhead as Neil Lennon’s replacement – and Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter to his comments.
Henry, 43, is out of work after parting company with MLS side Montreal Impact – and is now looking for a new club having only taken charge of 49 games at senior level. Both spells at Monaco and Montreal have been somewhat disappointing.
Plenty of big names have been linked with the Celtic job since Lennon resigned. The likes of Eddie Howe, Enzo Maresca and more recently Roy Keane and Lucien Favre have been discussed as potential candidates to take over at Celtic.

Now, Henry was asked if he would consider the Celtic role, on Robbie Fowler’s podcast: “With all humility, whatever is going to come my way – I’m not saying that should come my way. Whatever is going to come my way I’m going to try to evaluate.”
Many have spoken about the need for a big name as manager in order to sort out the recruitment that Lennon and Celtic got so wrong last summer – spending big amounts on the likes of Vasilis Barkas, Albian Ajeti and Shane Duffy.
Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter to Henry’s comments – with one supporter of the opinion that hiring Henry would be a “terrific appointment”.
