Celtic have been linked with Bournemouth’s Joshua King – and some of the club’s fans have given a positive response to the transfer speculation.
King, who is currently out on loan at Premier League club Everton, will return to Championship side Bournemouth as it stands at the end of the season.
According to the Scottish Sun, the 29-year-old is already being earmarked as a potential target this summer by Eddie Howe, who is set to be the imminent new manager at Celtic.
It is explained Howe is already working flat out behind the scenes to identify targets despite the fact he’s not been officially announced.
The report explains that the speed machine would be considered a replacement for current Bhoys frontman Odsonne Edouard.
Howe previously worked of a long spell with King at Bournemouth, and helped him impress at Premier League level.
The 54-time capped Norway international is a versatile attacker that can play anywhere in the front three with his pace and power, but is particularly dangerous on the last shoulder of defenders.
A selection of Celtic supporters on social media are optimistic that the Bournemouth-owned star may be a good fit in Scottish football.
He’s scored 17 goals for his country Norway, while in the Premier League he’s netted 48 Premier League career goals.
Here are some Celtic fans discussing King:
IF we got him within our wage budget he would be unreal. Just turned 29, full international and proven quality. https://t.co/aQJSEO6r3X

Edouard and King as ST, Turnbull behind them, Calmac next to Soro, Jullien and Cook (If he comes) with an improved Barkas could be a very strong spine, Forrest right and Moi left. https://t.co/3QSm61GRjX
