Sky Sports reported on Sunday evening that a loan bid had actually gone in from the Scottish giants late on Saturday night.

Neil Lennon would not be drawn on the reported interest after Celtic’s game against St Johnstone, and it remains to be seen if the player seals a return to Scotland today after leaving Livingston back in 2008.

Snodgrass was left out West Ham’s Premier League squad against Leicester City yesterday, suggesting that his immediate future lies elsewhere.

The star has only been used in the EFL Cup thus far, making three appearances and scoring two goals.
