Celtic are reportedly keen on signing Diego Laxalt on a permanent basis even before the January transfer window but it is believed that AC Milan may only sanction his sale, if a deal involves Kris Ajer – and Celtic fans have responded on Twitter.
Laxalt, 27, joined Celtic on a season-long loan from AC Milan as Neil Lennon swooped to replace Boli Bolingoli – who was ushered off to Champions League outfit Istanbul Basaksehir. It is believed there is a permanent option in Laxalt’s contract.
Since then, the Uruguay international has starred for Celtic. Offering cover at left-back or on the left of midfield, Laxalt even opened his account on Sunday – netting an injury-time equaliser with a blistering effort into the top corner against Hibernian.

It has seemingly convinced Celtic over a permanent move. MilanNews. It have claimed that Celtic are considering a move before the January window for Laxalt, but the South American star may be included in a deal that sees Ajer go the other way.
Norway international Ajer has been strongly linked with Milan over the last few months, and the report states that even though Celtic want to spend money to bring in Laxalt – they may find that Milan will only sell in a deal for Ajer.
Ajer is likely to be worth more than Laxalt and therefore the most-likely move would be a player-plus-cash deal which would see Celtic receive Laxalt and a fee. One fan thinks Laxalt and £10million would be a fair price.
