Celtic manager Neil Lennon finally let Marian Shved make his Scottish Premiership debut.
On Saturday, Lennon brought Shved on as a 75th-minute substitute in the 6-0 win over Ross County. Shved and Nir Bitton both came on with James Forrest and Callum McGregor rested.
Shved joined Celtic last January but only moved to the club in the summer. He was previously at Karpaty Lviv, where he scored 23 times in 55 games from the wing. But he has been unable to make his mark at Celtic yet.
The Ukraine international made his debut in the Champions League play-off clash with Kalju Nomme. Away in Estonia, Shved played 20 minutes from the bench and scored in the 7-0 aggregate victory.
But Shved was left on the bench for the next round against CFR Cluj and has missed most games with injuries or by being out of favour. He finally returned to the matchday squad against Ross and he got 15 minutes under his belt.
The 22-year-old’s introduction was met with a warm reception by Celtic fans, who want to see more of the elusive midfielder. Here are some tweets about Shved getting a game under his belt.
