Celtic fans expressed their delight as the club confirmed that striker Leigh Griffiths is to resume first-team duties.
The Scot has been on a break from the game since early December in order to deal with some personal issues.
Apparently the 28-year-old will begin ‘fitness and performance work’ with the club’s medical staff before training with his teammates.

It is not yet known whether Griffiths will feature in any games for Celtic between now and the end of the season, although fans would like to hope to see their striker given a run out.
He said: “I’d like to thank everyone for showing me such support.
“I am so grateful to the club for everything they have given me and the way in which they have supported me so strongly.”

Manager Neil Lennon added: “He will really be focusing on his own programme at the moment and then we will see what progress we make from there. We will not rush him in any way and we will allow him, of course, to take things slowly and at the pace he is comfortable with.”
