Celtic are reportedly considering a move for Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo this summer if they cannot complete a deal to keep Southampton loanee Fraser Forster – and Hoops supporters have reacted on Twitter.

Forster, 32, has been in stunning form for Celtic since returning to Parkhead on loan from Southampton – playing a crucial part between the sticks in Celtic’s pursuit of nine in a row. Neil Lennon has confirmed he is keen to keep Forster.

However, Forster is known to be earning a considerable amount of money with Southampton and he still has a contract at the club until the summer of 2022. It means Celtic will also need to table a transfer fee in order to sign Forster.

Chilean outlet The Times have since suggested that the Scottish champions have lined up three possible replacements for Forster, if they cannot complete a deal for the England international. Ben Foster and Joe Hart are suggested as options.

But the report states that out-of-contract Manchester City veteran Bravo is an option for the Hoops – given he is more than likely to leave Pep Guardiola’s side soon. This season, Guardiola told The Guardian that Bravo “is an exceptional keeper”.

Celtic supporters reacted to the news that the 123-time Chile international was a target for the Hoops, and many supporters are concerned at such a signing – questioning his age and his detriorating quality. Some, though, remain keen.
