Celtic fans react as club reportedly eye employed British manager
Celtic are reportedly keen on bringing Stoke City manager Michael O’Neill to Parkhead as they continue to scour the market for a replacement to Neil Lennon, having accepted his resignation last Wednesday – and Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter.
O’Neill, 51, has done a remarkable job at Stoke City. Having become somewhat mercurial for his time at Northern Ireland in which he took his country to Euro 2016, O’Neill saved Stoke from relegation last season when taking over.

Not only did he save the Potters, but he also helped them climb into 15th place in the Championship. This season, he has taken Stoke back into the top half of the Championship table, and they still boast a slight chance of reaching the top six.
Celtic have been linked with unemployed managers Eddie Howe, Frank Lampard and Enzo Maresca – while O’Neill has now emerged as a candidate. Football site 90Min claim Celtic are interested in luring the experienced boss north of the border.
Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter to reports that the club are interested in landing O’Neill in the coming weeks – and it has sparked somewhat of a mixed response. Some think he would be a good appointment, while others are not interested.
Would have taken him to replace Rodgers before he took the stoke job but is record at stoke isn’t the greatest

Suits me. He never had resources at Stoke and if he brings McLean and Rabbi it will be interesting.
