Celtic fans rave about Odsonne Edouard after CFR Cluj draw

Odsonne Edouard completed 90 minutes in the draw against CFR Cluj on Wednesday – and some Celtic fans on Twitter hailed him for his performance.

The Bhoys drew 1-1 away to the Romanian side in the first leg of their Champions League third round qualifier.

Neil Lennon’s team have the advantage of an away goal ahead of the return leg at Parkhead, but found themselves behind when Mario Rondon netted an opener for the hosts.

James Forrest was on hand to net a vital equaliser for the Scottish champions, as his shot from outside the box fired in off the post.

A selection of Celtic supporters on social media picked Edouard for his individual display and feel he led the line superbly well.

The 21-year-old Frenchman is tasked with the first-choice striker role this season and he’s proven that he’s got the physicality to spearhead the attack on a European night.

He saw one decent effort saved by the goalkeeper, while his hold up play and link with teammates caught the eye.

Edouard has started the new campaign in decent form and there is a lot of pressure on his shoulders to deliver on both the domestic and European stage for Lennon’s side.
