Celtic fans praise Mohamed Elyounoussi performance against St Mirren

Celtic beat St Mirren 2-0 at home on Wednesday night in the Scottish Premiership – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter praised Mohamed Elyounoussi for his performance.

The winger opened the scoring in the 49th minute with a close-range finish, as he reacted quickly to tap in his fifth goal of the season in just nine appearances across all competitions for the Bhoys.

James Forrest, who had earlier signed a new four-year contract, scored the second shortly after to wrap up three vital league points.

Neil Lennon’s team stay top of the division standings, but second-placed Rangers are level on points with them and trail by just a single goal on the goal difference.

The Bhoys have genuine competition to defend their title this campaign and are under pressure even game to win.

Elyounoussi looked a real threat with his quick dribbling from the left flank against St Mirren and has been dangerous during his time at Parkhead so far.

The 25-year-old Norwegian moved to Celtic in the summer on a season-long loan from Premier League outfit Southampton and has quickly become a fan favourite.

He’s making a real difference in the attacking third whenever he features and has managed to nail down a spot in the league XI.

A selection of Celtic supporters raved about his latest contribution and are keen for him to join on a permanent basis.
