Celtic fans praise Jeremie Frimpong after Europa League win

Celtic qualified for the Europa League group stages on Thursday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter raved about youngster Jeremie Frimpong for his performance.

Neil Lennon’s side managed a narrow 1-0 victory away to Bosnian side Sarajevo in the Europa League play-off and will now enter the group stages of the competition, with the draw taking place on Friday.

The Bhoys dominated the contest in terms of possession with 64 per cent of the ball, but weren’t at their fluent best going forward and managed just three shots on target.

Odsonne Edouard was the goalscoring hero with his simple tap-in into an empty net, as he reacted fasted inside the penalty box to a save from the goalkeeper.

The Scottish giants are hunting a 10th consecutive league title this season, but it’s vital that they have secured European football at Parkhead for this campaign.
