Celtic fans praise Christopher Jullien for Europa League performance

Celtic recorded a 1-1 draw away to Copenhagen on Thursday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter praised defender Christopher Jullien for his performance.

The Bhoys have a slight edge in the Europa League Round of 32 tie and return to Parkhead for the second leg next week with an away goal.

Odsonne Edouard netted the opener inside the 14th minute for the Scottish champions in a first-half they dominated and they should have scored more.

But hosts Copenhagen were much more lively in the second-half and equalised through Dame N’Doye.

Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster also saved a penalty to ensure the teams finished level, with VAR intervening to give a handball on Ryan Christie.

A selection of Celtic supporters on social media believe that Jullien was a colossus at the back for them and gave him immense credit for his display.

The 26-year-old centre-back had an extremely busy second-half in defence, as he made a number of key blocks by throwing his body on the line and interceptions too.

He’s someone that is an ever-present in Neil Lennon’s side and was in the wars again with a clash in the first-half that he recovered from.
