Celtic recorded a narrow win at home to Aberdeen on Wednesday in the Scottish Premiership – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter picked out their defender Kristoffer Ajer as a real positive from the fixture.

Neil Lennon’s side recorded their fifth consecutive victory in the league with a 1-0 scoreline at Parkhead against Aberdeen.

Despite getting nowhere near their fluent best, David Turnbull was the match-winner in the 14th minute with his long-range goal that found the bottom corner.

The Scottish giants are now 15 points behind leaders Rangers in the league table after playing the same amount of games and it’ll take a humongous collapse for the two to swap positions before the season ends.

A selection of Celtic supporters on social media were left underwhelmed by the team’s efforts against Aberdeen, but felt Ajer deserved a special mention for his individual contribution.

The 22-year-old centre-half continued in the heart of defence alongside teammate Stephen Welsh, as he helped the side keep another clean sheet.

He was a commanding defensive figure that looked comfortable against Aberdeen’s attackers, plus he was on the front foot with his passing and tried to kickstart moves.
