Celtic fans should be buoyed by Daniel Arzani’s performance for Australia against Kuwait on Monday.

The teen played a starring role off the bench for the Socceroos, helping the team ease to a 4-0 win.

It was Graham Arnold’s first game in charge after he replaced Bert van Marwijk.

From the moment Arzani was introduced to the game with 25 minutes to go, he was dangerous on the ball.

He showcased his speed and dribbling and looked hungry to prove a point, with opportunites difficult to come by at the moment at Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers has previously stated that Arzani isn’t seeing first-team minutes because he is still adapting.

Celtic supporters should feel encouraged and stop fretting

Some Celtic fans have questioned Arzani’s move to Parkhead.

They are of the opinion that he should be knocking on the door of the first-team by now.

Arzani is still only 19 and Rodgers is clearly managing him carefully.

Since he is on a two-year loan deal from Manchester City, things are slightly different in that, the manager can stretch phases out for a little longer than if he was only staying for one year.

There is no need to rush Arzani in for the sake of it.

There’s plenty of time for the youngster to fully prepare before he is thrown into the Scottish Premiership.

His display for Australia was very encouraging though, and perhaps it is only a matter of time now before Rodgers does indeed unleash him on the unsuspecting teams of Scotland.
