Yesterday’s hotly-contested clash between Celtic and Rangers was Steven Gerrard’s side’s last chance to create something of a title race.
Celtic were already 1-0 to the good through Odsonne Edouard’s 27th minute goal when Scott Brown and Alfredo Morelos had a conversation off the ball.
Morelos obviously didn’t like what was said as he inexplicably lashed out with his elbow, picking up his fifth red card of the season, leaving Rangers with a mountain to climb.
The Gers did actually pull themselves back into the match just after the hour mark when Ryan Kent made it 1-1 despite the numerical deficit, before James Forrest snatched the win for the Bhoys with just four minutes to go.

Then there were further fireworks at full-time, when tempers flared again, but Brown, as he does so often, succeeded in pushing all the right buttons of his opponents while keeping himself in check and on the field.
Understandably, the Celtic fans absolutely loved it and took to Twitter to show their appreciation for the Scotsman after he was named man of the match.
