Celtic are reportedly interested in defender Birger Meling from Norwegian outfit Rosenborg – and some of the Celtic fans on Twitter are desperate to secure a move for him.
The Scottish Sun reports that the 24-year-old is a “serious option” for the Bhoys during the remainder of the summer transfer window.
It is understood that manager Neil Lennon wants more cover in the left-back area due to Kieran Tierney’s move to Arsenal.
The report explains that Meling may be open to completing a move away from Rosenborg this summer, with MLS side Los Angeles seeing an offer turned down last week.
Meling has played against Celtic four times in European competitions during the last year and the Scottish champions are now tracking him.
He is an attack-minded left-back that scored in one previous meeting with Celtic and has great pace to help him push forward.
The defender has been capped 10 times by Norway at senior level and would be stiff competition for Boli Bolingoli at Parkhead

A selection of Celtic supporters on social media are convinced that Rosenborg’s defender would be a good signing for them.
After a difficult start to Bolingoli’s Bhoys career at full-back, it would make sense to bring in more competition with the games stacking up.
