Celtic fans hail Olivier Ntcham after Europa League performance

Olivier Ntcham returned to the starting XI for the win against French opponents Rennes on Thursday night – and some Celtic fans on Twitter were left hailing his individual performance.

The Bhoys recorded a 3-1 victory at Parkhead in the Europa League group stages and continued their recent impressive displays.

Neil Lennon’s team have now ensured top spot in their group with one game left to play and it means they will avoid the Champions League dropouts in the round of 32.

Lewis Morgan, Ryan Christie and Mikey Johnston were all on the scoresheet for the Scottish champions, before Adrien Hunou netted a late consolation for Rennes.

Ntcham was restored to the Celtic side and he impressed during his 90 minutes on the pitch.

The French central midfielder was a powerhouse that looked formidable in the centre of the park and he also provided a neat assist for Johnston’s goal.

The 23-year-old has not been a nailed on starter this season due to the stiff competition in the squad, but importantly he’s usually made the difference whenever on the pitch.

A selection of Celtic supporters on social media picked out Ntcham for his latest display and feel that he plays the game at his own pace.
