Celtic fans hail Odsonne Edouard after he opens scoring in 2-0 victory over Cluj

Celtic gained a measure of revenge over Cluj last night, turning them over 2-0 at Parkhead and it was no surprise to see Odsonne Edouard get on the scoresheet yet again.

The hitman opened the scoring for the Hoops on a night where they overcame the side who knocked them out of the Champions League qualification process.

Mohamed Elyounoussi got the other goal to seal a victory earned by a fantastic team performance in front of a typically raucous Parkhead crowd.

But there was no shortage of praise for Edouard after he took to Twitter following the match to praise the atmosphere in the stadium as well as acknowledge a job well done; the win took Celtic top of the group with two matches played.

The supporters absolutely adore Edouard and were only too happy to take the chance to shower him with praise in the messages they sent back in response.

A couple were urging him to stay at Parkhead for a number of years yet, while others were just keen to praise his display last night as he set Celtic on their way to victory.

He is more than capable of bagging goals at this level and could be the main man if Celtic have designs on going deeper into the Europa League…
