Marian Shved played his first Celtic game in a pre-season match on Saturday – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were pleased with what they saw from him.

The Bhoys played Austrian outfit Wiener SC in Vienna and secured a 2-1 victory.

Leigh Griffiths and Vakoun Issouf Bayo were on the scoresheet for Celtic, as they came from a goal behind in the second-half.

Shved lined up for the Scottish giants in the first-half, before manager Neil Lennon changed his entire team for the second period.

The 21-year-old attacker signed for Celtic back in January, but remained with Karpaty Lviv for the rest of the campaign and has only linked up for pre-season.

He is a winger that is quite direct when in possession and is not shy in front of goal.

Shved played 26 games across all competitions last season for Ukrainian Karpaty Lviv, where he managed to catch the eye of the Scottish champions.

He scored 15 goals and supplied four assists in return, while he’s still a promising talent with room to develop.

A selection of Celtic fans on social media liked what they saw from Shved during his first outing for the club.
