Celtic recorded an emphatic 5-2 victory against Hibernian on Saturday evening at Hampden Park – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were left raving about the performance of defender Jeremie Frimpong.
The Bhoys produced an attacking masterclass in the Scottish League Cup semi-final to dispatch opponents Hibs.
Mohamed Elyounoussi (two), Scott Brown (two) and Callum McGregor were all on the scoresheet for the Scottish champions.
Meanwhile, Melker Hallberg and Florian Kamberi managed to score in a frantic cup match.
Neil Lennon’s team can now look forward to watching Sunday’s second semi-final, where Rangers come up against Hearts.
A selection of Celtic supporters on social media picked out Frimpong for his display amid a number of solid performers.
Frimpong only moved to Parkhead in the summer from Manchester City and he was given his fourth senior Celtic appearance in a cup semi-final.
The 18-year-old is an attack-minded right-back that has phenomenal pace and he showed that when bombing down the flank against Hibs.
He’s a teenage talent with a lot of potential to be a success with the Bhoys, but will have to be patient for his chances with Hatem Abd Elhamed and Moritz Bauer also options in the full-back position.
Here are some Celtic fans on Frimpong:
