Celtic dramatically kept pace with Rangers on Wednesday night as they secured an injury-time win over Ross County at Dingwall. Anthony Ralston scored in the 97th minute to win 2-1, but fans were impressed with Nir Bitton.
Ange Postecoglou’s side came into the match having won nine of their last 10 Scottish Premiership matches, only drawing the other 0-0 to Livingston. A good run of form, but injuries have taken their toll.
Kyogo and Jota were big misses for Celtic on Wednesday night away from home. Giorgos Giakoumakis, Albian Ajeti, Christopher Jullien and more were missing from Postecoglou’s side.
It hardly showed, though. Celtic were dominant throughout, but failed to make both possession and chances pay. Israel international Liel Abada opened the scoring in the first 45, his eighth goal in what was his 29th Celtic outing.

Ross County only enjoyed about a quarter of the ball throughout the game, managing just one shot on target – but it was the difference. Summer signing Jack Baldwin getting the equaliser for County.
However, deep into injury time, right-back and Scotland international Ralston continued his brilliant season with a 97th-minute winner. It was the academy graduate’s fifth goal of a superb campaign.
What are Celtic fans saying about Bitton, after late win?
Celtic were dominant, but without proving overly penetrative. While they had plenty of sights of goal, many of their shots and efforts were with County defenders in front of them – Bitton coming close from range.
A good performance, and a late, scrappy win for Celtic – who ended the game with 10 men. Carl Starfelt received a second yellow on 80 minutes. However, plenty of supporters praised £1million-rated (Sun) Bitton.
