Celtic fans discuss Jack Hendry after sparkling game for Brugge against PSG

Jack Hendry was superb as Club Brugge held out for a point against PSG on Wednesday night – and Celtic fans have discussed his display on Twitter.

For the first time, Mauricio Pochettino combined new signing Lionel Messi with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in an incredibly lethal front three.

They came up against Brugge, who only joined the Champions League outfit for £6m (Record) on deadline day. It comes after a permanent Celtic exit.

Celtic decided to sell earlier this summer to KV Oostende, who activated the permanent clause previously agreed in his loan deal – less than £2m.

So, Oostende chose to make a quick profit – selling him to Brugge. The Scotland ace started in the middle of a back three against PSG’s front men.

Hendry against PSG: Celtic fans discuss Scottish defender’s display

His performance was pretty much, perfect. To come up against those attacking stars, your performance would have to be impeccable.

Celtic, meanwhile, have struggled of late at centre-back. Cameron Carter-Vickers made a solid debut on the weekend, but he is yet to be tested.

Carl Starfelt has made a poor start to life at Parkhead, making numerous mistakes. Including, his own goal against Dutch side Feyenoord.

Celtic would be a better side with Hendry at the heart of it, alongside Stephen Welsh, Carter-Vickers or the soon-to-return Christopher Jullien.

Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter to Hendry and his performance. Many raved about him, while some suggested that the Hoops “made a mistake”.
