Brendan Rodgers sent out a much-changed Celtic side in pursuit of a result against Bundesliga powerhouses RB Leipzig last night.
The Bhoys were unable to reverse the trend of their poor European away form as two sloppy first half goals saw them slip to a 2-0 defeat.
Among the players who failed to impress was Christian Gamboa, and the Costa Rican full-back was withdrawn at half-time with the damage already done.
Injuries forced Rodgers’ hand somewhat but it was still another evening of disappointment for the Celtic fans who know their side face an uphill battle to get out of their Europa League group in a season which started with the club aiming to get into the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Some of the club’s fans took aim at Gamboa on Twitter and we’ve taken a look at the best, or worst, of the reaction online…
I like Gamboa but if he's not good enough to play against yer Hamiltons then he's not good enough against yer Leipzigs. Then to hook him at half time? No idea what that's about.

Gamboa Kouassi Morgan Jozo and Christie are not up to the standards. To be fair to Morgan and Christie they gave their lot. But that would’ve been a tough game with a full team never mind half a team!

Unbelievable mate honestly. The experts were asking why Gamboa isn’t playing ahead of Lustig and questioning Brendan and on last nights showing Brendan was spot on.

No way those will make it at Celtic. Kouassi and Gamboa awful tonight.

Players who imo underperformed: Tierney, McGregor and Ntcham.
Players who just aren’t good enough: Gamboa,,Kouassi, Morgan, Christie, Sinclair (5 too many)
Tentative pass marks despite the score: Gordon, Lustig, Boyata and Jozo
Honest opinion ☘️
