Celtic dropped points in the Scottish Premiership title race with a 0-0 draw at home against Aberdeen at Parkhead on Saturday.
It was a fairly dour performance from Neil Lennon’s side, with some of his selection decisions contributing to a lack of invention and speed on the day.
Not playing with a recognised striker didn’t help, easing the pressure on the visiting Dons but there was a general lack of intent and tempo as Lennon’s second Bhoys reign hit the skids.
But playing Nir Bitton alongside Scott Brown in central midfield was seen as a move that was unnecessarily negative on their own patch and meant that there was no real guile from deep.

Playing Bitton did not go down well and there was plenty of criticism on Twitter for Lennon’s decision to field the midfielder in the stalemate.
The influence of more creative midfield options such as Callum McGregor was sorely missed and while Celtic remain eight points ahead of Rangers and fully in control of the title race, there is a feeling that they need to improve to get over the line.
Bitton must improve in the eyes of the supporters and we’ve put together some of their reaction after the goalless draw…
