Celtic fans can't wait for Kyogo's return from injury lay-off

Celtic fans can’t wait for Kyogo’s return from a knee injury.

The Japanese international took to Twitter on Saturday evening after watching his side win 3-0 against Ross County.

They managed to get the win without him, but the fans will want him back as soon as possible.

The 26-year-old has hit the ground running at Celtic.

In just nine games for the Bhoys he’s already netted seven goals (Transfermarkt).

However, Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that he will now be out for around a month with a knee injury (BBC).

Celtic do have the means to survive without their man.

Albian Ajeti netted twice on the weekend in Kyogo’s absence.

Liel Abada created both of Ajeti’s goals from out wide, with Jota performing well from the opposite wing.

If Kyogo is to miss the full month expected then he will miss some key fixtures.

In Europe, he’s set to be out for this Thursday’s trip to Real Betis as well as Bayer Leverkusen’s visit to Parkhead.

In the Scottish Premiership a home game with Dundee United and an away day at Aberdeen will be where Kyogo is missed most.

Postecoglou will hope normal service can resume and his side can put together a winning run without Kyogo.

Then when the Japanese international returns he will only come as a boost to the side.

Should Celtic struggle in his absence then Kyogo’s return may be rushed and the last thing the Bhoys want is to overload their star.

The season is shaping up to be an interesting one with Celtic looking to win the title back from Rangers.

Kyogo will undoubtedly be key if that’s to happen and the fans know it.
