Celtic secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Hearts on Wednesday night – and some of the club’s supporters singled out attacker Oliver Burke for special praise.

Neil Lennon started his second spell in charge of the Bhoys with an away win thanks to Odsonne Edouard’s winner in stoppage time.

They appeared to be heading for a draw after a Oliver Bozanic penalty cancelled out James Forrest’s first-half goal.

But Celtic substitute Edouard made himself the hero in the closing stages with a volley and it was a major boost following the departure of Brendan Rodgers to Leicester City on Tuesday.

Burke completed 90 minutes in the contest as he lead the line and his pace was once again a key threat in behind the Hearts defence.

The 21-year-old striker provided a vital assist to keep up his good form in Scotland since he joined on loan in January from West Brom and it looks like he could play an important role under new boss Lennon.

A selection of Celtic fans on social media were delighted with the contribution of the dazzling attacker, as he spearheaded the frontline well and was a goal threat.
