Celtic produced another magical night at Parkhead on Thursday night as they came from behind to beat Italian giants Lazio after a late header from Christopher Jullien – but Celtic fans have criticised winger James Forrest.
Just five minutes before half-time, Manuel Lazzari was played in on the right-hand side of the box and his shot rustled into the roof of the net – beating Fraser Forster at his near post through sheer power.
But it was Celtic’s second-half. Odsonne Edouard tip-toed into the penalty area before cutting the ball back to midfielder Ryan Christie, who swang a left boot at the ball to curl a shot into the corner – to score his 50th career goal, and 12th of the season.

Christie, who produced a marvellous display, was then the man to set up the winner. In the 89th minute, Christie’s stunning corner was met with an equally impressive header from summer signing Jullien, who found the side netting with aplomb.
It has given Celtic a huge boost in their bid to qualify for the knockout rounds, sitting top on seven points from three games. But it was not Forrest’s night, with the 28-year-old’s decision making and perhaps a lack of confidence on show.
Forrest had the chance to cut the ball back when getting to the byline but his usual high standards of delivery were not on point. When given the ball, the majority of the time he would go backwards and Celtic fans were shocked to see such a poor display.
