Celtic take on Real Madrid in the Champions League tomorrow in what is set up to be a memorable night at Parkhead for the Bhoys.
A chance to play the ultimate giants of European football doesn’t come around all too often and Ange Postecoglou will no doubt be desperate for his team to produce the goods. Of course, there’ll be an acceptance that Madrid have the quality to over come Celtic. But at home, the Bhoys will fancy themselves.

However, Celtic might have to do it without two of their key players. Reporting from Celtic’s training session earlier today, Sky’s Mark Benstead claimed that both Carl Starfelt and Kyogo Furuhashi look like they’re missing.
“Obviously two players a big doubt for the big game tomorrow after making their way off in the win over Rangers. They lost Carl Starfelt to a knee injury and they also lost Kyogo Furuhashi to a shoulder problem. I’m just scanning across the training group just now and I can’t see either of them out so both will be big doubts,” Benstead said on Sky Sports while at the Celtic training ground.
Of course, Kyogo may well still play. Separate reports have claimed he did actually feature in training today, albeit nothing has been confirmed.
TBR’s View: Celtic Need All Their Best Players
You can’t play against Real Madrid and hope to come out on top without having all your best players so if Starfelt and Kyogo are missing, then it’s a huge blow.
The game has the potential to be one of the best in Parkhead’s history and the likes of Kyogo would surely flourish under the lights and atmosphere.
Celtic fans, then, will be hoping their omissions are simply a precaution and that there is at least a glimmer of hope that both players feature.
