Celtic continued their domestic dominance in Scotland yesterday with a 1-0 win over Old Firm rivals Rangers at Hampden Park. The result was hardly fair on Steven Gerrard’s men, who could not find their way past an inspired Fraser Forster between the Celtic posts.
Another reason Neil Lennon felt Celtic’s performance improved later in the game was the introduction of Odsonne Edouard.
The Frenchman has been struggling with an injury before the game meaning he could only start from the bench.

But Celtic scored within moments of Edouard entering the fray and Lennon spoke about his impact, as reported by the Irish Independent, after the game.
“When Odsonne came on you saw the whole team perk up, the spark. His first action is to win the free-kick for the goal.
“At times he sprinkled that little bit of stardust that we had been missing for the first hour.”
TBR’s View
Celtic fans will certainly be hoping Edouard is now set for a return to regular action.
The team just looks a far more potent threat with the in-form Frenchman in the side and hopefully, his injury issues are now behind him.
Celtic face Cluf in a Europa League dead rubber next, so Edouard can hopefully rest up and be fighting fit for the clash with a resurgent Hibernian at the weekend.
