Celtic lost talisman Matt O’Riley to Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this month.
After a stellar season for The Hoops, O’Riley was always expected to move on should his asking price be met.
Brighton were the suitors who were willing to stump up £25m to land his signature leaving the Scottish champions with a mammoth task of replacing him.
Though, they’ve moved quickly to sign a top-level successor and are now on the verge of completing a deal.

Celtic agree deal to sign Arne Engels
According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Celtic have reached an agreement with Augsburg to sign Arne Engels.
Celtic have agreed to pay £10.9m to sign Engles, who is due to jet in for a medical on Friday ahead of the transfer window deadline.
The 2003-born was always Brendan Rodgers’ top target and now the club have agreed to outlay a substantial sum to land his signature.
Arne Engles profile
Engels is an extremely versatile player as he can operate in a number of different roles.
The Belgium under-21 international can play as a box-to-box midfielder, a number 10 and even as a right-winger.
He registered eight goal involvements for the Bundesliga outfit last term and that output will continue to improve as he grows in maturity.
Aged just 20, Celtic now have a top talent on their books who will hope to emulate the success O’Riley enjoyed.
It remains to be seen if the Scottish giants make any further additions this week but they have been linked with a move for FC Lausanne-Sport midfielder Alvyn Sanches.
