Celtic and Rangers are different in a lot of ways, but the giants may find themselves in very similar situations this summer.
Both clubs currently possess loan attackers; Ryan Kent for Rangers and Timothy Weah for Celtic.

Kent has really impressed at Ibrox following his loan move from Liverpool, establishing himself as arguably the Light Blues’ most dangerous player.
The winger has consistently showcased his precision dribbling and desire to be direct, much to the delight of the Rangers faithful.
His flair has lit up Ibrox on many occasions this season, and it has undoubtedly been his most promising loan move yet.
Over at Parkhead, teenager Weah has made a fine start for the Hoops. The Paris Saint-Germain starlet has already scored three times and has looked extremely lively.

He is a hit with the fans for his energy, and his display of passion at the end of last weekend’s game with Kilmarnock further endeared him to the Hoops supporters.
United in their struggles?
Both Kent and Weah are fine young talents with bright futures and arguably, Rangers and Celtic will both struggle to keep hold of their respective loanee this summer.
Certainly Kent will not be short of other suitors given the way he has performed. The Liverpool man may hope to make it at Anfield, although there’s been no word from anyone at the Reds about that just yet.

It’s likely that other teams will have been watching Kent’s development, and the Gers will have their work cut out keeping hold of him for 2019/2020 now that he is more established.
Celtic may feel more confident in signing Weah permanently – the USA youngster has a host of top class players ahead of him at PSG – although again, should he continue to use his Celtic platform, other clubs may try to have a conversation with the French champions.
