Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday will have boosted morale and confidence and Cedric Soares’ hilarious post on Instagram from Arsenal training on Tuesday morning shows just that – as he posed alongside two of his teammates.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ended his five-game Premier League drought with a penalty in what was the only goal of the game – as Paul Pogba fouled Hector Bellerin in the penalty area during the second 45. It sees Arsenal climb to ninth in the table.
The feel-good factor is in full swing. The Gunners have now won their last two matches – keeping clean sheets against Dundalk and Manchester United and will be looking to do that for a third time against Molde and then Aston Villa this week.
Cedric, meanwhile, has failed to make Arsenal’s Premier League squad once this season – let alone the starting XI. Bellerin continues to keep the Euro 2016 winner on the sidelines, limiting him to just four appearances in all competitions.
He has started both Europa League matches so far this season and Cedric is likely to do so on Thursday at The Emirates when they welcome Molde. But he could be forgiven for feeling somewhat frustrated at Arsenal.
However, the feel-good factor seems to have spread to the fringe players including Cedric – who posted a funny post on Instagram along with Granit Xhaka and Aubameyang, captioning the post: “Strutting into that new week like.”
