Wales got their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign off to a winning start with a 1-0 victory against Slovakia in Cardiff.

Former Leeds United target Dan James scored the goal, while Whites youngster Tyler Roberts came off the bench.

The 20-year-old played for the final half an hour, replacing Bournemouth star David Brooks. Roberts’ introduction allowed Gareth Bale to operate in a deeper role.

Roberts has recently broken into the Leeds first-team and has had a regular run of starts under Marcelo Bielsa.

The former West Brom striker, who also operates anywhere across the attacking midfield line, is considered to be a bright prospect for the future.

But he is also impressing Leeds fans with his displays in the Championship as they aim for automatic promotion this season.

Some Leeds fans watched Wales in action against Slovakia, scouting Swansea star James as a potential future addition and Roberts as their promising youngster.

Roberts was bright when he came on, although his final product was lacking. He went on some positive runs and helped the Welsh see out a 1-0 victory.

Below are some tweets from Leeds fans discussing Roberts’ performance.
