Tottenham signed Dejan Kulusevski during the January transfer window and he has proved to be an astute acquisition so far.

The 21-year-old scored again in the 4-0 thumping of Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon, producing a really smart finish to make it 2-0.

Italian legend Antonio Cassano has paid tribute to the forward, as per TMW, suggesting that Juventus really should not have let him leave.

“The genius of the lamp (Max Allegri) has sent away Kulusevski and Bentancur,” he said sarcastically.

“Who at Tottenham are fourth in the standings. They are both doing very well.

“Dejan is sensational between open play, assists and goals. Conte then manages to squeeze his players making them perform to the maximum.

“He has always done it, last year at Inter and today at Spurs.”

Conte had to wait till the end of the transfer window to get his men and they ended up being players Fabio Paratici knew well from Juventus.

But just because they were not the most left-field picks, does not mean they are not good players and Kulusevski is proving that right now.

He has rounded off Spurs’ front three well and he is still around the age of Jadon Sancho and Phil Foden, who are still being eased in somewhat at other top clubs.
