Casemiro left amazed by 25-year-old Newcastle United player’s display vs Leicester yesterday

Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes left Manchester United star Casemiro amazed by his display against Leicester City yesterday.

Guimaraes barely featured for Brazil at the World Cup and made just two appearances from the bench during the group stage.

But the 25-year-old is integral to this Newcastle side and showed his class once again yesterday at the King Power Stadium.

The Magpies blew an in-form Leicester side away in the first-half and stormed into a 3-0 lead. Chris Wood, Miguel Almiron and Joelinton got amongst the goals but it was Guimaraes who picked up the man of the match award.

The Brazilian midfielder set-up Almiron for his ninth Premier League goal of the season and completely ran the show from the middle of the park.

And his Brazil teammate Casemiro took to Instagram to praise the Newcastle star for his display in the Midlands.

Casemiro left amazed by Guimaraes

Guimaraes posted on the social media platform after yesterday’s win as he posed for a picture with his man of the match award.

Joe Willock and Almiron left comments beneath the post to praise their teammate for his display.

Casemiro also replied: “Joga Muito.” which translates to ‘plays a lot’ in English. The United star also left a round of applause emoji with his comment.

Guimaraes only played a total of 67 minutes at the World Cup before he returned to action for Howe’s men in the EFL Cup this week. But the former Lyon man has picked back up where he left off before the break.

Newcastle moved up to second place in the Premier League after yesterday’s win and are certainly showing no signs of slowing down.

There’s no doubt that keeping Guimaraes fit will be pivotal to Newcastle’s hopes of securing Champions League football as the Brazilian makes this side tick.
