Trent Alexander-Arnold laid on yet another assist for Liverpool, as the Reds defeated a spirited RB Salzburg in the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp’s team were made to work hard for the three points, with the Austrian champions narrowly losing 4-3 after getting back to 3-3 from 3-0 down.

Having lost their opener to Napoli, it was a big result for Liverpool, who take on Genk in their next two games.
Liverpool were superb in the first half, with Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson’s goals of particularly high quality.
Robertson finished off a brilliant move by getting on the end of an Alexander-Arnold cross, which was the England international’s third assist of the new season in all competitions.

He remains a fantastic outlet for Liverpool, and Reds legend Jamie Carragher said of the 20-year-old on Norwegian TV: “His strengths are that he can handle the ball and he is the most creative player in the team, just look at his assists.
“People talk about the future and could he come into midfield and be a Kevin De Bruyne-type player and he has more quality now than Liverpool’s midfield players and you think about the crosses that De Bruyne puts in from the right midfield position and maybe that’s a position where Trent could play.”
TBR’s view
It is something that has been frequently suggested, and is surely something that will happen in the future.

Alexander-Arnold’s delivery really is outstanding and he is arguably second only to Manchester City man De Bruyne in the Premier League in that respect.
The £55 million Belgian (BBC Sport) is widely considered to be the Premier League’s assist king having chalked up 55 in 127 top-flight appearances.
Perhaps Alexander-Arnold moving to that right-central position further in his career will see him become a similar force to the 28-year-old.
