Carlos Cuellar has applauded Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish on Twitter after the midfielder scored a wonderful volley during Villa’s excellent 4-0 win over Derby County.
The 23-year-old scored his third goal of the season on Saturday afternoon. Glenn Whelan drove a corner to the edge of the box, where Grealish was waiting.
The Villa academy product drew comparisons with Manchester United legend Paul Scholes, as he smashed home a volley that left Derby goalkeeper Scott Carson flat-footed as the ball flew into the top corner.
Former Aston Villa defender Cuellar took to Twitter to congratulate Grealish for his goal. The veteran defender claimed the Villa shirt gives players super powers, Tweeting: “Bravo”.

Grealish’s return to action from injury came on Saturday, and it was expected that he would need time to get back into it. But he was every bit the player that was on fire prior to his injury.
The goal was just an example of that, as he smashed it into the top corner. Villa still have a faint chance of breaking into the top six, sitting six points behind Bristol City with 11 games to play.
Having Grealish back in the side is an enormous bonus, and Grealish’s goal on Saturday has proved just that.
