Everton are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Spanish playmaker Luis Alberto this summer. That is according to a report from Corriere della Sera in Italy. The report suggests that Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of the player and would like to bring him to Goodison Park.
Alberto has been in fine form for Lazio this season, providing 14 assists in 30 games as the Biancocelesti sit top of Serie A. Nobody in Serie A has created more goals than Alberto this season (stats courtesy of FOX Sports).
This interest and Alberto’s form is probably the reason behind Lazio’s latest contract extension attempts, as reported by Nicolo Schira.
The report also suggests Juventus are interested in the player, who has been excellent for the club since arriving in 2016.
In fact, he joined Lazio from Everton’s fierce rivals Liverpool.

Liverpool signed Alberto from Sevilla in June 2013 with then Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers hopeful he would become a future star. But the Spaniard struggled to adapt to English football and spent time on loan at both Malaga and Deportivo La Coruna.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Alberto then ‘failed to impress’ Jurgen Klopp in the summer of 2016. The Spaniard was sold to Lazio for a reported £4.3 million (BBC Sport) that summer.
Since then he has become a consistent performer in Serie A, with 40 assists and 24 goals in his 124 games (Transfermarkt) with the capital club.
Such form has clearly piqued the interest of many an admiring eye, with Everton now seemingly keen on bringing Alberto back to Merseyside for another try.
