Carlo Ancelotti has made quite the impression during his first few months in charge at Everton and his team have an outside shot of a European spot in the Premier League if they finish the season strongly.
The Italian boss has certainly helped the likes of Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin with their games, which is no surprise considering his wealth of experience.
But Toffees attacker Bernard is perhaps one individual that hasn’t quite been at his best since the mid-season change of manager and Ancelotti can definitely get more out of him.
The Brazilian winger has started half of the 10 league matches since Ancelotti arrived and is struggling with the competition for places.
He’s currently competing alongside teammates such as Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi and Theo Walcott for a starting position.
But Bernard can add an extra dimension if he plays more with his agility, speed and intelligence in the final third.
Bernard, who earns £120,000-a-week (Spotrac), has shown glimpses in the past of his star quality and is now working under a top-class manager to try improve.
The 27-year-old has scored three goals and supplied two assists in 21 games across all competitions this season, but has the technical ability to do so much more.
Ancelotti just needs to find a way of getting the best out of the diminutive South American in his system and it would be great to see the left-winger recalled for the trip to Chelsea on Sunday in the league.
