Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly keen on signing Lazio goal-machine Ciro Immobile in the summer.

The report from 90min suggests that the Italian boss is keen on bringing his countryman to Goodison Park for next season.

It would undoubtedly be a coup for Everton. With Immobile scoring 30 goals in 33 games this season, which adds up to his impressive total of goals at Lazio – 116 in 167 appearances.

But Ancelotti’s interest should come as no surprise. The Everton boss has, reportedly wanted him before.

In January 2019 Tuttosport was reporting, as relayed by CalcioNapoli24, that Immobile was ‘appreciated’ by Ancelotti who was considering an attempt to lure the striker to Napoli.

Everton’s manager also faced off against Immobile during his time at Napoli. On two occasions the apparent transfer target faced Napoli when Ancelotti was in charge. Napoli won both games but Immobile scored on each occasion.

This season, not long after Ancelotti had left Napoli, Immobile scored the winning goal of a 1-0 win for Lazio in Serie A.

So it is clear Ancelotti is a player who has been on the radar of Ancelotti for some time. Everton fans will just hope he can finally get a hold of this potential Premier League goal-machine.
