Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti reportedly has Turkish defender Merih Demiral on his wish-list for the January transfer window.
Despite worrying reports regarding Everton’s financial situation regarding FFP regulations, new manager Carlo Ancelotti is expecting a transfer kitty this month, albeit a reduced one.
The Telegraph is reporting that the Juventus defender is ‘high’ on the Italian’s ‘wish-list’ for January.

Demiral only joined Juventus from Sassuolo in the summer. The deal was worth €18 million (£15.5m) in the summer, according to Calciomercato. The same source suggests that Juventus want €40 million (£34.1m) if they are to consider selling the 21-year-old this month with a host of clubs across Europe said keen on the player.
TBR’s View
Everton are clearly in need of defensive reinforcements, despite recent improvements at the back. Michael Keane has struggled for form this season and whilst Mason Holgate and Yerry Mina have provided respite in recent times, another centre-back would certainly be welcomed.
Ancelotti will know Demiral’s qualities well from his time managing Napoli in Serie A and Everton fans will no doubt hope this is a deal that can be done.
