Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has named four injured players who will return next week, but will be missing against Tottenham.

The Toffees welcome Spurs to Goodison Park on Friday in the Premier League, which is a huge fixture for two teams that are still trying to force their way up the table into the Champions League positions.

Everton are having an ongoing injury crisis in their squad, with both Abdoulaye Doucoure and Jean-Philippe Gbamin long-term absentees.

Ancelotti confirmed on Thursday in his pre-match press conference that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph and Bernard are all missing against Spurs.

He claimed though that he expects them back next week.

On a positive note, the Merseyside club do at least have the quartet of Jordan Pickford, Allan, Joshua King and Andre Gomes back available in their squad against Spurs.

TBR’s View:

Everton’s match tomorrow against Spurs is arguably their biggest of the season so far, which is why it’s extremely frustrating for them that they don’t have a fully fit squad to select from.

Calvert-Lewin’s absence is the standout from those missing, as well as Mina after he was substituted off injured in the recent 0-0 draw against Brighton.

They need to look on the positive though that the squad will be bolstered though by the return of some senior figures, who may all go straight back into the XI depending on how Ancelotti views Spurs.
