Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of his striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but insists that he may need to become a little more selfish with his movement.
The English centre-forward started the Ancelotti reign by heading in the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Burnley in the Premier League.
He’s now managed eight goals across all competitions in 21 appearances this term and has been one of the more consistent performers for the Toffees.
The 22-year-old is yet to be a prolific goalscorer yet in his career, but is a great target man that brings others into play and has an immense work-rate too.
Italian boss Ancelotti clearly rates the striker after commenting on him and has explained what he wants him to do to improve.
“He is a fantastic striker in my opinion,” Ancelotti said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
“He is strong with his head but he can improve is his movement without the ball.
“He has to be more focussed on the goal but, of course, he is really unselfish and he moves up and down, right and left. He has to stay, in my opinion, more focussed on the centre of the box.”

TBR’s View:
Calvert-Lewin has had his doubters during his time at Everton so far, but it looks like he’s starting to develop nicely and it’s easy to forget he’s only aged 22.
The striker looks like he could benefit massively from Ancelotti, who has worked with some of the best forwards in the business during his long successful career.
There is real potential for Calvert-Lewin and teammate Richarlison to form a great partnership in attack, which would have a great blend of pace and power.
