Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti and Toffees striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin have taken to Twitter with messages for the Goodison Park faithful after being named Premier League Manager and Player of the Month respectively.

Ancelotti masterminded three impressive wins in the league last month – a season-opening 1-0 victory away at Tottenham Hotspur, a 5-2 hammering of West Brom and a 2-1 triumph at Crystal Palace.

Calvert-Lewin also hit the ground running for Everton in September, scoring the only goal in the win over Spurs before going on to hit a hat-trick past West Brom and netting once against the Eagles.

It’s little surprise, therefore, that both Ancelotti and Calvert-Lewin were handed the month’s top individual awards in the league, and both took to their respective social media accounts with messages for the fanbase.

As we all know, Everton’s efforts have gone beyond the Premier League in September – the Toffees remain top of the table after hammering Brighton 4-2 earlier this month, and are also in the quarter-finals of the League Cup after wins over Salford, Fleetwood and West Ham.

Calvert-Lewin, meanwhile, marked his England debut with a goal in Thursday’s 3-0 win over Wales at Wembley, and as if things couldn’t be exciting enough for the Evertonians, up next when club football resumes is Liverpool – who lost 7-2 at Aston Villa last time out – at Goodison.
