‘Can’t wait’, ‘don’t ruin your career’: Some Liverpool and Manchester United fans react to £120m man’s message

A number of Manchester United and Liverpool fans have flocked to Jadon Sancho’s Twitter feed urging him to sign for their respective clubs in response to his birthday message.

The Borussia Dortmund attacker turned 20 on Wednesday and took to the social media platform to thank fans for their well-wishes.

Sancho is one of the top names going around on the transfer rumour mill, with speculation regularly linking him to some of the biggest clubs in world football.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United are “desperate to break the bank” for the England winger.

The Daily Mail, meanwhile, claimed last month that Liverpool had informed Dortmund of their desire to sign Sancho this summer.

It’s little surprise that Sancho is so in demand, given his impressive stats so far – in 90 competitive Dortmund games, he has registered 31 goals and 42 assists.

With a reported £120million price tag (The Mirror), Sancho wouldn’t come cheap, but for these United and Liverpool fans, it would appear money well spent.

Here is some of the social media reaction to Sancho’s message:

Other clubs linked with Sancho include Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Chelsea, and the club where he came through the ranks, Manchester City (The Mirror).
