‘Can you play Sunday?’: Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Kaide Gordon signing

Liverpool fans have been discussing the new signing of Derby County youngster Kaide Gordon on Twitter, after the teenager penned a deal with the Reds.

The teenage sensation has moved from the Championship outfit to the join the Premier League champions. Gordon, who can play in midfield or further forward, was highly regarded at Derby before his move.

However, the chance to move to Liverpool proved too much for Gordon to turn down. The youngster taking to Twitter himself to confirm the move yesterday.

Gordon is the latest in a long line of young players who Liverpool have got their hands on. The Reds signed Harvey Elliott from Fulham when he was a similar age, while the likes of Curtis Jones, Rhys Williams, and Neco Williams have all been given first-team chances this term.

As is the norm with social media, plenty of fans were on hand to welcome Gordon to Anfield. And with Manchester City next up, some Liverpool fans suggested – jokingly – that Gordon might get a run on Sunday.
